A Concentration is an effect that continues to apply itself during the Combat Phase (unless stated otherwise) each turn until it is broken. The Concentration is maintained by the caster, even if the effect targets an opponent or another entity. Concentrations can be disrupted by specific game actions, such as spells that break Concentrations or if the caster is removed from the game. When a Concentration is broken, its effects end at the start of the following Discard Phase.
Indicates that the spell requires a specific type of Essence, in addition to its mana cost, to be cast. The required Essence type is listed on the card (e.g., "Requires 1 Fire Essence"); see section 3.3 for more details. When the spell is cast, the specified Essence is consumed.
Specifies that the spell brings a creature or construct (see section 6.4) into play. Summoning spells describe the actions that the summoned entity can perform as part of the game.
Indicates a custom duplicate limit for a card, displayed as "Max X," where X is the allowed number of duplicates in a player's deck. This overrides the standard duplicate limit; see sections 1.2 and 1.3 for more details.
Indicates that the spell can be cast in combination with another spell to enhance its effects. The required combination type is specified on the card (e.g., "Offensive Fire Combo Spell"). When casting a Combo spell, both spells must meet their casting requirements, including mana and Essence costs. The Combo spell and the paired spell are treated as a single spell for gameplay purposes. If an effect targets a spell (e.g., "Counter target spell"), it will affect both the Combo spell and the paired spell.
